Is ‘Girls’ creator Lena Dunham Vogue’s next covergirl?

The 27-year-old shot to fame two years ago as the creator and star of TV series Girls, and now she’s set to grace the cover of one of the most famous fashion magazine in the world, Vogue, according to reports.

According to the MailOnline, Lena Dunham will be the February cover star of the American magazine, which is out at the end of January.

The editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, seems to be on good terms with the cast of the hit HBO show, as she posed at the premiere of the third season with Lena and Alison Williams who plays Marnie.

Rumours have been rife that Lena was due to feature in the magazine ever since Anna Wintour held a dinner in her honour back in October, allegedly in a bid to convince her to appear in the publication.

Lena would be the second ‘larger’ star to feature on the magazine’s front cover if it were to run, with Adele previously having been used back in 2012.

The famously self-confident actress has appeared naked in numerous scenes for Girls, and has spoken openly about how she thinks it’s important that her body, that doesn’t conform to a ‘traditional Hollywood idea,’ is shown on the programme.

‘My parents both have really healthy attitudes about their own bodies but also about the range of things that can be beautiful,’ the star previously told Marie Claire.

‘I have known – and still know – that my body wasn’t fitting into a traditional Hollywood idea of the female body.’

We don't know about you, but we think Lena would make a fab addition to the Vogue covergirl alumni!
