Amid rumours that Victoria Beckham isn’t the only Spice Girl set to release a TV show, insiders suggest Geri Halliwell-Horner will be using hers to prove that she deserves the ‘Posh’ moniker.
Rumours that Victoria would feature in her own Netflix documentary were confirmed last year – following on from the success of David’s Netflix biopic Beckham – which will follow her journey from pop star to fashion industry guru. But former bandmate Geri is determined not to be left in the shade.
A source tells Closer, ‘Geri doing her own reality docuseries just as Vic is about to release hers has raised some eyebrows among the Spice Girls. The show is meant to be about Geri setting her narrative straight after the controversy, but Vic and the other girls seem surprised that Geri is following so closely in Vic’s footsteps.’

Last week, it was reported that Geri, 52, is in discussions with TV production companies to make a reality TV series about family life at her and her husband Christian Horner’s two properties – a sprawling Hertfordshire estate and an Oxfordshire farm. Geri – who is mum to daughter Bluebell, 18, with ex Sacha Gervasi, and son Montague, eight, with Christian – and Christian, 51, tied the knot in May 2015.
As well as showcasing her lifestyle, Geri could also use the show to reframe the narrative surrounding her marriage to Christian. In early 2024, the Red Bull Formula 1 boss was accused of sending sexual WhatsApp messages to a colleague, which resulted in several figures at Red Bull taking swipes at his leadership. In the latest season of Netflix’s Drive To Survive, which goes behind-the-scenes of F1, Christian said of the scandal, ‘It was obvious that the end goal was for me to leave Red Bull.’ Christian denied the allegations and was cleared of misconduct after an internal investigation, but Geri was said to be humiliated.
However, our insider suggests that the drama around the scandal will not be featured. The source says, ‘The rest of the girls doubt that Geri is going to be making a show about the scandal and think it will be more about Geri trying to cement herself as the real Posh.’

The timing of Geri’s speculated series also points to wanting to compete with former bandmate Vic, 50. In recent years, the pair’s friendship – which began in 1994 with the formation of the Spice Girls – has reportedly become fractured, with Closer previously revealing that there’s a power struggle between Vic and Geri as to who is actually the ‘posh’ one of the group.
Vic earned the nickname back in the day thanks to her designer wardrobe and upbringing, but Geri now seemingly feels that she’s more deserving of the term with her elegant new way of speaking and upper-class society friends such as Baroness Carole Bamford and Dame Judi Dench.

Closer’s source adds, ‘There’s definitely a big sense of rivalry between the pair as Geri has been encroaching on Vic’s territory – Vic can’t help but feel Geri is always trying to one up her. However Geri maintains that she’s on her own path and her show will be very different and more sophisticated than Vic’s.
‘Geri wants the public to see how far she’s come – from her glamour modelling days which she won’t even acknowledge, to becoming a lady of the manor.
