Geri Horner gave birth to her son Monty in January this year but the singer has revealed that conceiving for the second time wasn't as easy as she'd hoped.
The former Spice Girl, who has a daughter, Bluebell, now 11, from a previous relationship told The Mirror that she resorted to non-traditional methods while trying to get pregnant with her new husband Christian Horner.
She said: "I had tried [to get pregnant], and it didn’t work. It was my daughter who said, ‘Mummy, please don’t give up’.
“We had a little pray instead, it was really sweet. I prayed and did some acupuncture and then it happened.
“He’s a little gift.”
Geri isn't the only celebrity mum to turn to acupuncture in an attempt to have children. Both Celine Dion and Mariah Carey also used the ancient Chinese procedure, where fine needles are inserted into the skin at specific points along what are considered to be lines of energy.
In the interview Geri also revealed that Monty had had a very special visitor in the form of her old bandmate Victoria Beckham: "She’s a beautiful person, she’s kind and she came round to visit Monty.”
