Georgia, 24, has battled rumours of the Strictly curse since she and Giovanni made their debut together on the BBC One competition – and now she’s branded the claims ‘offensive’.
Assuring everyone that Sean has nothing to worry about, former Coronation Street star Georgia told the Mirror: “It’s so stupid and quite offensive hearing rumours like that. Giovanni and I are just good mates – it’s lovely.”
Discussing her relationship with actor Sean, she added: “He helps me switch off. He makes me tea and we sit and watch a bit of telly.
“He’s been great and of course I hope we’ll go for a nice holiday after this. Strictly kind of takes up your whole life.”
Georgia and Giovanni aren’t the only dance partners to be plagued by rumours of the curse this year: The Wanted singer Jay McGuiness and married Aliona Vilani have persistently denied they are anything more that colleagues and friends.
Jay previously said of the allegations: “It can become a distraction and it makes me want to disappear after the show.
“But at the same time, I feel like I’m in a lovely bubble. As long as Ali’s happy, I’m happy. We get on really well, but the show is so successful and I just think people make stuff up. We ignore it.”
