They met in the Geordie Shore house during series 2 of the show in 2012, and have since had a volatile relationship brought on by Ricci’s jealousy and Vicky’s short temper.

Yesterday’s episode saw the cast embark on a boozy night out in Newcastle, during which Vicky confided her relationship worries in co-star Charlotte-Letitia Crosby. The 25-year-old said:

“I can see Ricci is drinking a lot and I know what’s going to happen. But I’m not going to let him ruin my night.”

I don’t mind her getting a spray tan what so ever but not naked in front of people, I’m not comfortable with it.

Charlotte, 22, agreed: “Alcohol is supposed to make you happy, but for some strange reason it has the opposite effect on Ricci and it makes him jealous.

Ricci’s jealous streak had appeared earlier, when the girls were paid a visit by a beautician ready to give them a spray tan, but Ricci was more than unhappy at the thought of his fiancé getting naked in front of the female therapist, saying:

“I don’t mind her getting a spray tan what so ever but not naked in front of people, I’m not comfortable with it.”

Vicky, evidently upset, marched upstairs crying:

“I’m f*****g miserable… I don’t have a life I have our life and that’s not me. If I met myself a year ago I wouldn’t recognise me… I was strong and I was confident and I made decisions on my own and now I’m none of those things”.

Later on, the couple’s drunken argument came to a head when Ricci, 26, shouted:

I don’t give a f*** about my relationship and I just want to get the f*** out of this house

“People can’t keep making the same mistakes again. So I’m taking myself out of the house. I don’t give a f*** about my relationship and I just want to get the f*** out of this house.”

Following his outburst he demanded back the engagement ring he had proposed with during Series 3 in Mexico, leaving a broken-hearted Vicki to be comforted by her flatmates.
