Insiders at the ITV show I’m a Celeb have said the exit of Gemma, alongside Corrie star Craig Charles a few hours later, has been a ‘disaster’ for the programme.
‘Gemma couldn’t hack it and took the easy way out. Not only will this potentially affect viewing figures, it will dent phone line revenues,’ said the insider.
A friend of the star said the jungle has made Gemma realise what’s important: ‘friends and family, not the glitzy fake world of reality TV.’
