She’s been flaunting her new, Khloé Kardashian-influenced style, showing off a freshly-cut blonde boband even using a ‘fat burning’ drip in her mission to imitate the slender star.
And former Dancing On Ice star Gemma Collins – who’s admitted to gaining weight since losing 3st during her stint on the show last year – told fans on Instagram, "I’m on a mission to lose some pounds and look like Khloé Kardashian, so I’m on the Fat Burner Plus – an IV drip that boosts your immune system, boosts your energy and detoxifies your liver."
Gemma, 39, even re-posted an article last week comparing her to a "British Kardashian", and shared footage of her being hooked up to a weight-loss drip at celeb pal Dawn Ward’s salon.
But despite her smiles, insiders say there’s underlying heartache behind Gemma’s latest image overhaul, as she’s told friends that she fears her on/off eight-year romance with James ‘Arg’ Argent, 32, could finally be ending.
Suspicions about the state of their turbulent relationship reached fever pitch last week, as Gemma spent time with Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Dawn while Arg returned to Essex after his latest month-long stint in a Thai rehab facility, following a reported second drug overdose.
Also last week, Gemma posted a glamorous shot of herself captioned, "Hollywood pending" – another indication she’s moving on from Arg.
Meanwhile, singer Arg – who appeared to have unfollowed the Diva Forever star on social media – showed off renovations to the home he owns separately from her, before telling fans he’s booked in for a six-month residency at pal Elliot Wright’s Marbella restaurant.
A source says, "Gemma’s makeover and health kick is to distract herself from all the drama with Arg. She’s told friends that she’s worried they’re at breaking point.
"Since being in rehab, he’s gone quiet on their plans to get married and try for a baby, instead throwing himself into his band.
"Gemma’s gutted, because she’s stood by him in the hope they could start a family once he was well enough."

The former TOWIE star has made no secret of her desperation to become a mum – telling Closer she’d considered freezing her eggs, and confessing last month, "I’m more than confident that I’ll get married and have a baby."
But with her relationship crumbling, pals say Gemma’s convinced her makeover could help her find a new man to fulfil her baby dream, or wake Arg up to what he’s missing.
The source adds, "As heart-broken as she is at the thought of moving on from Arg, she insists she can’t wait around forever.
"If her hot new look doesn’t turn his head, then she has to make a move. Her clock is ticking, so she’s going to make changes and meet a man who can give her what she wants."
