As producers filmed Gemma in the helicopter before her arrival into camp, the reality star appeared worryingly anxious and fragile.
Before boarding the helicopter, she hinted at her nerves, telling the camera: “I’m just Gemma from Romford. I am a drama queen – drama just follows me. People are going to see the real stripped-back real me, I might just become Bear Grylls, you never know.
Then also added: “It’s so scary and now I am really questioning why I did this. I feel sick with nerves, physically sick.”
Gemma is entering the jungle whilst mending a broken heart following a dramatic split with her partner Alexander Moss.
She told a UK newspaper: “The dream before I left England was I was actually so happy, and I’d met this person, and I wanted to have a baby, and get married next year.
“That was the dream and I am heartbroken, but I’m going to be coming back and finding my way again.
