According to a source, Gwen Stefani, who has remained tight lipped on the breakdown of her 13 year marriage, was cheated on for years before confronting her rocker husband.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, the insider reported that Gavin and Mindy were in the full throes of a sexual affair, and that he even went to meet the 20 something while Gwen lay in hospital, having just given birth to their third son.
Other betrayals include when Mindy would bring the children to see Gavin on tour, and then the pair would allegedly have sex once the kids had fallen asleep.
According to the source, this would all take place while Gwen, 46, was filming NBC’s The Voice - in the process making a fortune for her young family.
Mindy, who is an Australian, began working for the household in 2008, as a stand in for one of the more regular nannies.
But after a while she was made permanent, and enjoyed a close relationship with Rossdale and Stefani.
According to US Weekly, Gwen had her suspicions since 2012 that the duo may be ‘more than friends,’ but only had reason to act when another member of staff found explicit messages and photos on the family iPad.
When she confronted her husband in February this year, he confessed, and Gwen apparently knew her marriage was over.
Mindy, who bares a striking resemblance to Gwen, would frequently upload snaps to her Instagram page, where she appeared to mimic the No Doubt singer’s rock chic style.
Gwen appears to be taking the high road however, simply telling interviewers that her marriage breakdown was ‘unexpected’ and that she was understandably devastated.
She has now embarked on a relationship with Voice co-star Blake Shelton.
