The father-of-three has admitted that he wouldn’t let his children- Daniel, 13, Emily, 11 and 4-year-old Emily- watch some of today’s raunchier videos.
Speaking about the twerk-heavy videos of late, the 42-year-old said:
‘Music is an expression and an art form and however they want to express it is fine. If you don’t want to watch it or listen to it, there’s an off button.
‘These singers are young, sexy girls — of course they are going to express themselves like that. But I don’t let my kids watch it.
‘I probably wouldn’t let them watch anything like that. It’s too sexual for them.’
And it looks like the singer’s children have inherited his love for music, with the Rule The World star admitting:
‘Emily is a ONE DIRECTION fan, there are posters on the bedroom wall. It takes me back. My son likes EMINEM and Daisy likes Mr Tumble.’
And speaking about his return to music, Gary said:
‘I’m an artist first and foremost, that’s my day job so it’s no contest [between singing and the X Factor) from that point of view.
‘I’m in Take That as my main job, that’s how I see myself. If I could do a little record myself every five years or so and make enough back to make another record and tour I’d be happy,’ he said ahead of the debut of his new video Let Me Go on Vevo on Monday.
