Gareth Gates has gushed over his girlfriend Faye Brookes - and hinted at a future engagement!
The former Pop Idol star and Coronation Street actress first met when they played an on-stage couple in the 2012 production of Legally Blonde.
Now, four years later, they are forced to spend a lot of time apart due to their busy schedules - Gareth is currently starring in Footloose the Musical - but he says their trust in each other keeps them going.
He explained to OK! magazine: “I trust her with my life. We literally go to different ends of the country to see each other, but it takes that to make it work.
“We’re madly in love with each other.”
The 31 year old has a seven-year-old daughter Missy from a previous relationship with dancer Suzanne Mole, and told the magazine that he hopes to give her a little brother or sister in the future.
He said: “She spent a lot of time with my sisters’ new babies recently. She loved it.
“Seeing that makes me think I would really like another child so I could give her that.”
When asked if he and Faye could be taking the next step and get engaged anytime soon he replied: “I wouldn’t be with her if I didn’t see a very long-term future. I really have found my soulmate. I’d be lying to say no, so you’ll just have to wait and see!”
Eeeek, we’ll be keeping a verrrry close eye on Faye’s left hand from now on!
