Gareth Gates has been accused of ‘freeloading’ by a Twitter user who apparently screen-shotted his conversation with a bar manager
Conrad Brunton uploaded the image to Twitter after he was sent it by a friend who runs a bar in Birmingham.
The message purporting to be from Gareth said, “Hi, Gareth Gates here.
“Myself and my fiancé (Faye Brookes from Coronation Street) are in Birmingham on Saturday. We’re looking for places to go and wondered if you could do anything for us in exchange for social media posts etc.”

Others on Twitter share he sentiment, with many pointing out the request was “cringey” and “classless”.
The plea for freebies comes just days after Faye Brookes announced she would be relinquishing her role as Kate Connor on Coronation Street – the sixth big name character to leave the cobbles since the start of the year.
“No one has been particularly happy since former show boss Kate Oates left,” a source told The Sun..
“There are lots of scheduling issues and the workload has become very difficult to manage with six episodes a week.
“There are now lots of unhappy people who are jumping ship but many of them are ‘putting a spin on it’ publicly because they don’t want to upset their mates left trying to save the show."
