Gabby Logan says she is an anxious 21st Century parent as she is increasingly aware her children are growing up in a potentially dangerous digital world.
The 43-year-old TV presenter has 11-year-old twins Reuben and Lois with husband of 15-years Kenny, 44.
But, as for many who work in the public eye, Gabby has fallen victim to online trolls and now worries her children will suffer bullying online.
Last year the sports presenter hit back at an online troll who told her on Twitter to "get back in the kitchen."
And while Gabby says she can handle the ugly side of the internet herself, her young family find it difficult.
"My daughter gets upset if she reads something somebody has said about me," she told the Sunday Telegraph.
"I try and explain to her why I’m not upset and what I’ll do with that and how it will motivate me to try and keep doing what I do to the best of my ability and be as professional as possible," she said.
Gabby and Kenny welcomed their twins in 2005 after conceiving them via IVF – with her childbirth process taking over 36 hours and leaving her so weak she almost lost consciousness.
Clearly now fiercely protective of her children, Gabby also shared her concerns for a younger generation growing up in an age where sexting is rampant.
"What worries me more is social media with young people," she said.
"What girls are prepared to do, what pictures they're sending, how their self-worth is going to be affected by this and their value system in terms of their bodies. And young men in terms of how they understand relationships," she continued.
And it sounds as though the thoughts of picture sharing could be giving her some sleepless nights.
"All those things as a parent worry me. I've come through all that, I'm 43 and that's not going to affect me, but it's going to affect me in the sense I've got children I have to look after and protect," she said.
It’s not all fear and worrying online for Gabby, however, as she will happily make jokes at her own expense on social media.
Rejoicing at the fact she had a rare weekend day off, the star quickly realised she would need to relocate her spare time her family.
"First Saturday off for a while which means I am back to being an unpaid taxi driver #children," she deadpanned on the micro blogging site.
But it looks like her biggest child could be her former Scotland rugby playing husband.
"So does that mean you’ll drop me off at Twickenham for the rugby?" he tweeted back at her.
Clearly in charge, Gabs then replied: “Hurry up the meter is running…”
We hope Kenny tips his drivers!
