Hot Chocolate frontman Errol Brown died from liver cancer at his home in the Bahamas on Wednesday, his manager confirmed.
Famous for songs such as You Sexy Thing, which was featured in Brit comedy The Full Monty back in the 90s, Hot Chocolate became a household name for a number of years, also having hits with It Started With A Kiss and So You Win Again.
Jamaican born Brown moved to the UK when he was just 12-years-old, going onto have a successful musical that spanned decades.
In 2004, he was granted an Ivor Novello award for outstanding contribution to British music, and was given an MBE in 2003.

Since news broke of his death on Wednesday afternoon, fans have flocked to social media to express their sadness.
Fellow singer Beverley Knight wrote: ‘This popped up as breaking news…I am so gutted. Errol Brown was such a charismatic performer.’
Others expressed their disbelief that the popular singer was 71, as his youthful good looks could have passed for decades younger.
Our thoughts go out to Errol's family and friends.
