The 22-year-old hit out at DJ Calvin, 31, on social media and branded him a 'd***head'.

Now a friend of the former One Direction star, who claims Zayn has now cut all contact, has revealed their concerns.

Speaking to The Sun the pal said: "He's a little boy who needs to grow up. It's really bad for him. He's turning into Chris Brown but without any hits.

"He's is self-destructing right now and I hope he's got someone there for him. I doubt he has, though, and that's why I'm worried for him."

The friend also suggested that Zayn is putting his music career in jeopardy by being so hot-headed.

They continued: "He's p***ing off so many people, it's very hard to see him having much support left but the time he's finally ready to release any music."

Zayn's Twitter attack on Calvin Harris

Following his shock exit from One Direction in March, Zayn signed a new record deal and appeared to blast his former band mates when he announced plans to release 'real music'.

He then ended his three-year engagement to Little Mix star Perrie Edwards with a single text, before throwing major shade at her music on Twitter.

As well as his online spat with Calvin, Zayn and his former friend and music producer Naughty Boy fell out on social media after he quit the band.
