Christine Bleakley, 35, is stepmother to Frank Lampard's daughters Luna, eight, and six-year-old Isla, from his seven-year relationship with Elen Rivas.

And, in an interview with The Mirror, her 35-year-old footballer beau has praised the Dancing On Ice presenter for being "amazing" with his girls.

“I’ve got two girls and Christine’s done amazingly becoming a step-parent to them. She’s been in the girls’ lives for four years now, she’s completely taken to it. It’s not an easy role as any step-parent knows.”

But will the pair be having children of their own? Frank has admitted he doesn't know:

“I don’t know. It’s something we would consider."

“I wouldn’t want a headline, ‘We want kids’ because it’s something we want to do in our own time. If we’re going to do it.

“I’m surrounded by girls at home and I love it. I love having girls. They’re cuddly and very loving and they don’t smash footballs off the walls.”

Christine has made no secret of her own desire to have children. In 2010 she said: “For me, having children is the biggest and most important thing I’m ever going to do in my life.

"It’s not about my career, it’s not about your job or anything else, it’s about that.”

We guess we'll have to wait and see what happens next for the couple, who have been together since meeting at the Pride Of Britain Awards in 2009.
