Frank Lampard has spoken for the first time about his wedding to Christine Bleakley.

The pair married in December at St Paul’s church in Knightsbridge, West London, and the 37-year-old footballer has told The Mirror that “everything from beginning to end was magical.”

He revealed to the publication that he was so nervous about the day, saying: “You dream about your wedding day and have anxiety about tables and food and people, but from the moment I woke up until the end of the night, everything was perfect.”

“I was very, very nervous about doing the right thing and whether I would get too emotional but I loved the service and it felt like everything that a marriage should be.”

The New York City midfielder, who has two daughters, Luna, 10 and Isla, eight, added: “We had people there we cared about, it was as small as we could have made it and it went perfectly.”

Since the wedding it seems the couple have gone from strength to strength, with Frank insisting the two are still in the honeymoon period.

“People joke about it a few months later saying, ‘are you still happy in the honeymoon period?’ We really are and hope the feeling never goes,” he said.

“We have fun together, both work hard and are similar in our ways.Since our marriage we have felt the relationship kick on again.”

He also briefly discussed the possibility of having kids with Christine, saying: “We certainly haven’t ruled out having children. It is something we’ll try at the right time.”

Sounds like Mr and Mrs Lampard are very happy, congrats guys!
