Stephanie was forced to leave the Chester based soap earlier this year, after apparently showing up to work drunk.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror in August, 22-year-old Davis told the paper the knew she was ‘drinking too much,’ using booze as an escape.

Prompted by the death of her grandmother Muriel, Davis, who has appeared on the soap since she was just 16, started drinking in order to cope.

But sadly, bosses finally had enough of the star’s antics, kicking her off the soap later that year.

And now the pretty brunette has revealed tragedy has struck again, after her grandfather passed away.

In an emotional twitter post, Stephanie wrote yesterday: ‘Tomorrow I shall be burying my best friend, my hero, my grandad/dad. I’m just heartbroken. I love you grandad, I’ll be seeing you.’

Then in the early hours of the morning, the grieving actress revealed she couldn’t sleep ahead of the funeral, writing: ‘4:23 can’t sleep dreading tomorrow.’

Hopefully her devoted boyfriend Sam Reece is supporting her during this difficult time.
