This Saturday, Universal Studios launched a live-stream fan event building up to the release of the first full trailer for the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise and Paul Walker's final appearance on the silver screen.

It's been almost an year since the fatal car crash took his life, putting the production of the sequel on hiatus before the rest of his scenes could be completed using a blend of computer graphics and the help of his two brothers, Cody and Caleb.

The special broadcast, entitled 'The Road to Fast & Furious 7', featured the remaining cast members, who spoke at length about how they dealt with the shocking loss together.

"(Others) didn't know Paul the way we knew Paul," Tyrese Gibson who plays Roman Pearce explained. "We did whatever we had to do as a family to like, rebuild each other and have the conversation that only we could have, to help us to get through that very rough patch."

The spirit of family seems to be the backbone of this multi-million dollar global hit. Main man, Vin Diesel, who plays the story's patriarch Dominic Torretto

elaborated: "When you watch our movie, all the differences of skin tone and language go out the window… all you see is family and that started with the brotherhood of Dom and Brian and it's touching because, you know, again, we lost such a special person, a special angel."

The trailer features the late Paul Walker prominently, playing almost like a love letter, which received emotional reactions from the cast, especially Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster who took a moment to comfort each other in a hug on stage.
