Ferne McCann was left 'shocked and upset' after ITV used a photo of baby Sunday to illustrate a story around cot death .
The photo - used for the lunchtime bulletin - was posted on Ferne's Instagram just days after Sunday was born to announce her arrival to the world.
The 27-year-old had captioned the photo, 'Wellcome to the world my darling. Didn’t expect to see you a week early 🙂. I’m so in love & bursting with pride. It’s a girl 👶🏼💗💗💗'
The reality star immediately called to have the snap taken down.
The photo showed Sunday in a white babygrow with a crown logo.
Tv bosses apologised to Ferne and have since done everything they can to ensure it's not shown again.
It's unclear how ITV got hold of the photo of newborn Sunday.
A source told The Sun: “Any mother would be upset to learn an image of their child had been used without consent.
“What makes it even worse was that it was used in connection with such an upsetting and tragic topic.
The ITV have since responded with an apology to Ferne, telling MailOnline: ‘ITV News took swift action as soon as we were notified by Ferne’s team of the error. We’re sorry if any upset was caused to Ferne and her family.’
