Ferne McCann has spoken out about her true feelings for George Shelley.
The pair teased viewers during the recent series of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, flirting in front of the cameras.
And they have since given fans something to talk about by posting lots of pictures of themselves looking cosy together online now that the ITV show is over.
But it appears there is no romance between the pair, with Ferne insisting she does not fancy George.
When asked if she was attracted to him, The Only Way Is Essex star told Fabulous magazine: “No,” before adding: “He’s a good-looking boy and I appreciate he’s gorgeous. I just want to spend more time with him, so watch this space.
“I’m pretty certain it’s just going to be a fantastic friendship.”
However, Ferne and George have previously admitted they had a cheeky kiss under the mistletoe but, during a recent appearance on Loose Women, Ferne squirmed when George tried to lean in for a snog live on-air.
And there could be a reason behind their desire not to take their relationship any further – they want to be able to work together professional and give television presenting a go together.
George told the Daily Mirror: “We don’t want to ruin something. Caroline Flack says the secret of her and Olly Murs’ success is they’ve never slept together.
“If we get together would it ruin something that we could have a career in?”
