Nicola McLean has spoken out about how she disagrees with the national health campaign 'Dry January'
When it gets to January, most of us like to kick-start our year with a bit of a health kick after a long season of overindulgence. And if it's the booze that you want to kick to the curb, then you'll more than likely be participating on 'Dry January' - a national campaign which sees participants give up alcohol for the whole of January.
However, ex-Celebrity Big Brother star Nicola McLean appeared on *Good Morning Britain *earlier today to slate the national campaign and insist that she wouldn't be participating - and some of her fans are not happy.
The 36-year-old said during her debate with author Helen Croydon; "I will absolutely not be brought into this hashtag Dry January.
I'm going to have the wettest January - and it's going to be so much fun!".
But it didn't take long for fans to respond to Nicola's controversial opinion of the campaign. One tweeted "pot kettle AA is a lifesaver . You have been in many states and embarrassed your family . Maybe you "should go to AA " like you said it ..please dont mock AA".
Nicola was quick to hit back at her angry fan, by responding with "My mums in AA I was saying if you have a problem go to AA".
Although, some fans did rush to Nicola's defence, with one writing "I actually agree with @ NicolaMcLean & @piersmorgan ...This Dry January is a load of rubbish... All the pubs, bars and restaurants will struggle to survive! They struggle as it is! Daft idea!".
Will you be participating in Dry January? We'd love to hear from you over on our TwitterTwitter and FacebookFacebook pages!
