But despite the tender moment being shared across the internet, a spokesperson for the star has confirmed it was just a photo with an ‘eager fan.’
Indeed Michelle Mclardie, who was pictured with Dyer in the bar in Ramsgate, Kent, said it was ‘just a quick kiss for the camera’ and nothing more.
After meeting at the pub while Dyer was filming scenes for EastEnders, Michelle apparently joined Danny on Tuesday at the Albion House Hotel which was nearby.
But according to a source who spoke the Mirror, so did many other fans of the soap, as well as more cast and crew.
‘There were loads of fans there’ they said. ‘Not just Michelle and it was all completely innocent. It was just nice of Danny to speak to everyone.’
Dyer’s spokesperson confirmed: ‘One eager fan pursued him for a picture but he did no more than treat her to an innocent peck.’
Last summer, Danny’s relationship with Joanne Mas was rocked by rumours that he had cheated on her with a 21-year-old student. By February 2015 however, everything was back on track, with Joanne proposing to her partner of 19 years on Valentine's Day.
