If you listen ever so closely, you might just be able to hear the jingle-jangle of distant wedding bells - and that's all because soapstar Kelvin Fletcher has only gone and put a ring on it!
EMMERDALE'S ADELE SILVA REVEALS PREGNANCY JOY FOLLOWING STRING OF MISCARRIAGES
Kelvin, who plays Andy Sudgen in ITV soap Emmerdale, has popped the question to his girlfriend of eight years, Liz Marsland.
The 30-year-old decided to get down on one knee over the weekend, while the couple enjoyed a romantic break in Wales.
An excited Liz broke the happy news herself via Instagram, posting a beachfront selfie and showing off a HUGE new diamond on her ring finger.
She wrote happily: "So......after a million years together he finally popped the question!"
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Kelvin's good news comes as his on-screen alter-ego prepares for heartache; Andy Sugden may have remarried longtime lover Katie Addyman, but it seems it won't be a happy ever after for the couple.
Why? Because Sammy Winward, who plays Katie, has quit the soap after 13 years.
Sammy has reportedly decided to take a break from the show so she can try her hand at other acting work, but is hopeful her character will not be killed off.
EMMERDALE'S ROXIE SHAHIDI: 'MY HUSBAND PROPOSED BEFORE WE'D EVEN KISSED'
A show source revealed to The Sun: “The producers haven’t decided [whether they will kill Katie] yet. Emmerdale love a big death because it’s great for their ratings.
“She wants to spread her wings and try theatre work and other telly. Emmerdale is virtually everything she has ever known.”
