Emma Atkins was happily chatting to This Morning hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about her on-screen love triangle when she let slip a very embarrassing secret behind her steamy kissing scenes.
Emma was talking about the "dynamite chemistry" between her character Charity and ex Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) when she confessed at university she was taught to kiss.
Emma admitted: "I remember thinking: this is weird, who’s getting off on this, it’s bizarre!"
"Now I’m thankful for those lessons as they’ve come in very handy. It’s all about placement and very technical."
Eamon joked: "Would they take mature students on that course?"
We’d never guess there wasn’t real passion behind those racy scenes, so the kissing lessons have certainly paid off. Where do we sign up?!
Emma admits to finding it strange pashing on with fellow actor Jeff Hordley who she views "as a brother."
She revealed: "We don’t fancy each other in real life, we’re such close pals, it takes all the rubbish out of it."
At least husband Tom doesn’t have to worry about an on-screen lover stealing his thunder, Emma says the businessman is "so gracious about it, he’s got no eg.o"
All this professionalism is very impressive, but does it take some of the magic away?
