Ed Sheeran has opened up about his struggles dealing with fame and has said he battles with anxiety.
The singer has also revealed that fame has made him feel “not human” and he feels as though he is a zoo animal due to the huge interest in his life.
Ed opened up about his feelings in an interview with The Sun this week. He went on to say that the pressure of dealing with stardom has meant he has cut his friendship circle to just four people, as he is unable to trust people.

“You feel like a zoo animal. I don't mean to complain, I have a cool job and life. But I just want to avoid that.”

The singer, who released a new album full of collaborations this week, has hinted about his mental health on a new single ‘I Don’t Care’, in which he sings, “With all these people all around, I'm crippled with anxiety, But I'm told it's where I'm supposed to be.”
The star admitted that his fame has meant he struggles with social anxiety and so he prefers to avoid large groups of people; even questioning his relationship with his wife Cherry Seaborn.
He added that he thinks “why the f*** are you with me?” each morning when he wakes up.
The couple are believed to have got married in secret in 2018.
