It was alleged earlier this week that Samantha, who plays Ronnie Mitchell in BBC One soap EastEnders, was forced to call the police after she discovered a man camping outside the home she shares with her husband and children.

A police spokesman confirmed: “A report was made to Bedfordshire Police on Thursday [September 10] relating to incidents of suspected stalking.

“Robert Rombough, 22, from Bungay Norfolk, has been charged with stalking and remanded into custody. He will appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court today.”

It’s also been claimed that Sam’s stalker sent her a ‘bizarre’ love letter, leaving her terrified, and her 54-year-old husband Mark was subjected to threats.

Speaking to The Sun, an insider said: “This stalker has become completely obsessed with her and has been sleeping outside her house so that he can spy on her.

“The family are terrified that he will try to get into the grounds of the property or even the house. Sam has also received a weird love letter from this oddball that really disturbed her.”

The source added: “Everything became too much and on Thursday they decided to call in the police. Hopefully they will catch them soon and this can be brought to en end once and for all.”
