Ross has suggested he’s in talks with the show to make a comeback – but refused to give away any details.
Speaking to the Mirror, he said: “Everyone wants to know about EastEnders, and at the moment I don’t know, so I can’t really say anything.
“There has been rumours and I have never said that I wouldn’t go back.”
It’s been a tough time for the Mitchells lately, after Grant’s brother Phil was abducted by ex-wife Kathy’s psychotic husband Gavin.
With Phil set for a downward spiral as a result, it is thought that Grant could move back to Albert Square to save his brother.
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins is allegedly planning to get the whole family back together.
A source said: “Dominic has put out discreet feelers and has been quite encouraged by the response.
“Storylines don’t get much bigger than getting the Mitchell brother’s back together.”
