EastEnders fans were left devastated when Sam Strike announced that he was leaving the show - and the Carter family - to pursue other acting opportunities.
And the talented actor has DEFINITELY landed on his feet, as it's now been revealed that he's scored a role in a major Hollywood movie.
How exciting!
Sam and his manager Lee Morgan hinted at the exciting news last week, with the actor writing on Twitter: "Started at the gym yesterday in prep for a cheeky new roll I'd love to tell you about.
"But can't.
"I'm ACHING. Forgot what its like to exercise!"
His manager added: "What day to remember, well done @SamStrike exciting news to follow…."
Now Morgan has confirmed the news, writing: "Morgan wrote: "Many questions sent on my last tweet @SamStrike - he has been offered the lead role in a very big US film: Info soon."
We wonder if Sam could be joining fellow ex-EastEnders star Ben Hardy (who played Peter Beale) in the upcoming X-Men movie?
It would definitely explain why the actor has been bulking up at the gym...
Guess we'll just have to wait and see…
Are you excited to hear that Sam Strike will be appearing in cinemas in the not-so-distant future? Or do you still wish Johnny Carter had stayed on Albert Square?
