Gloria Hunniford may be a Loose Women regular, but she wasn't expecting what happened on today's show.
The veteran presenter appeared alongside Ruth Langsford, Nadia Sawalha and Coleen Nolan on the ITV talk show but didn't bargain for Eamonn Holmes doing his best Michael Aspel impression. We all remember that famous big red book and this afternoon it was presented to Gloria to celebrate her 70 years working in showbiz. Now that's some serious career commitment!
As he clutched it to his chest he said: ‘You thought you were here today to be a part of a Loose Women panel but you are here today because, Gloria Hunniford, this is your life.’ Viewers were then treated to some flashbacks to Gloria's past television work as well as Brian Conley rocking up to sing 'Congratulations' just for her.
Gloria was visibly moved by the trip down memory lane especially when the video compilations paid tribute to her daughter Caron Keating who died in 2014 after a long battle with breast cancer. But she reassured the audience she was feeling elated despite the high emotion: 'It’s a happy celebration, when you see those photographs', she said.
Aaaaah, congratulations Gloria.
