Thanks to celebrity lookalike artist Alison Jackson, we can now imagine what the Duchess of Cambridge’s baby shower might look like.

Alison has teamed up with drinks company Shloer to create fictitious images of the Queen, the Duchess of Cornwall, Kate’s mother Carole, and party-planner Pippa showering the pregnant duchess with gifts.

Traditionally an American celebration, baby showers have now become popular in the UK, with two-thirds of expectant mums now planning a celebration - but it is unknown whether the Duchess will join in the craze.

It wouldn’t be completely out of character for Kate to break with royal tradition – recently it was reported that Kate will spend the first six weeks after the birth at the home of her parents in Bucklebury in Buckinghamshire.

She may also further depart from Royal tradition by choosing to give birth at a hospital close to her parents’ home, rather than in St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, where her husband Prince William and his brother Harry were born.

The young Duchess also hit headlines this week when she caused a £38 Topshop dress to sell out within an hour of wearing the high-street number to a public outing with the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry at the Warner Bros. Studios.
