In an interview with an American magazine, the 38-year-old actress spilt the beans on the side effects of her recent pregnancy.
Speaking about the months in the run-up to the birth of her first baby, 6-month-old Olive, Barrymore revealed that she grew a beard.
The honest child-star confessed:
"I got a wonderful little goatee, and it was red! I also got hyperpigmentation on my cheeks."
In a refreshing approach to her post-baby body, the Charlie’s Angels actress also admitted that getting back in shape isn’t a high priority.
"I'd rather kill myself than get into a bikini right now!...I take care of myself, but I'm never going to be the person who talks about diet and exercise. I would fail that conversation!"
'I got a wonderful little goatee, and it was red!'
Barrymore and her art consultant husband Will Kopelman married three months before the arrival of their daughter, having dated for sixteen months.
The new mother previously admitted on Oprah that she is obsessed with her new baby, gushing:
"It's like having the worst crush of your life…I drive home with heart palpitations, like, I can't wait to get to her. I think, 'You know, is she gonna call? Will she ask me to spend the night?”

Despite being a successful actress, director, producer, wife and mother, the 50 First Dates actress believes that women can’t have it all.
In an American magazine she recently admitted:
“Unfortunately, I was raised in this, like, generation of, like, ’Women can have it all,’ and I don’t think you can. I think some things fall off the table. The good news is, what does stay on the table becomes much more important.”
