The TV doctor took to Twitter to express his concern over the doctor’s alleged conduct, writing: “If rumours are true that a doc posed 4 a selfie with Joan Rivers as she was under anaesthetic then it is yet another shameful day 4 medicine (sic).”

Dr Christian’s comments come after reports that the late comedienne’s doctor posed for a selfie with her whilst she was still unconscious during a throat procedure.

During the same procedure, the 81-year-old suffered a cardiac arrest leaving her on life support for several days.
Joan tragically passed away less than a week later in hospital surrounded by close family.
The doctors treating her could face a serious lawsuit following the recent claims, and a member of staff at the endoscopy clinic told investigators that they had concerns over her Joan’s doctor’s behaviour.
According to reports, the TV personality’s doctors conducted a biopsy during the procedure without her permission.
Dr. Arthur Caplan, a medical ethicist at New York University's Langone Medical Center, told CNN: “Even though you are a licensed physician, you still should have, if you will, the checks and balances to get your approval to practice in that particular place.”
