Denise Van Outen has confirmed she has a new man in her life eight months after her split from Eddie Boxshall who she allegedly caught sending raunchy messages to and meeting up with other women.

The lucky man in question is property developer Jimmy Barber who Denise reportedly met through mutual friend Shazney Lewis. The Gogglebox star went red carpet official with Jimmy at the Grand Prix Ball, where she looked mega glam in a sparkling gold gown. Jimmy didn't look too bad either.

Her very public declaration of new romance comes just weeks after Closer exclusively revealed that she had been reconnecting with an old friend.

“While it’s still very early days, he’s made her laugh and feel special, which is something in her darkest days, she wasn’t sure she’d feel ever feel again. Whether it progresses into anything or not, it’s helped put the smile back on her face and restore her confidence, as well as re-spark that hopeless romantic in her and give her a glimpse of a happy future again.”

A source says, “Denise has vowed not to let her heartache destroy her future happiness and while she’s admitted she’s not 100 per cent ready to jump into anything serious, she has started to feel ‘stomach flutters’ again after reconnecting with an old friend who reached out following her split."

Denise recently admitted how much she’d “struggled” after finding out her partner of seven years had been cheating on her. Eddie apologised following their split, saying he was “embarrassed and ashamed.”

Insiders recently told Closer how the West End star was concerned about Eddie, 49, doing a “tell-all” on their relationship following her own revelations in her recent autobiography, which she said she had to re-write parts of for “obvious reasons.”

Denise asked Eddie to leave their North London home in December after he allegedly exchanged raunchy messages with women online and met up with another woman for secret dates.

Following their split, the commodities trader – who initially told his Instagram followers, “you don’t know the truth” – was reportedly pulling out all the stops to save their relationship, but Denise refused to take him back.

The couple – who were planning to wed next year – met in 2014 after being set-up on a blind date by presenter Zoe Hardman.

Their relationship came a year after Denise’s four-year marriage to West End star Lee Mead broke down. the former couple met while on the judging panel for BBC talent show, Any Dream Will Do, in 2007.
