Saturday Night Takeaway made a long-awaited return at the weekend – but Declan Donnelly accidentally attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.
Fans’ excitement quickly turned to concern when it became obvious Dec, 40, was filming the live show without his wedding band.
Eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter to speculate why Dec would be seen without the ring, just six-months after he and longtime girlfriend and manager Ali Astall tied the knot.
But Dec has revealed what really happened, and thankfully his explanation is a simple one.

Speaking to the Mirror he said: “I didn’t realise until afterwards when someone said there’s a bit of a thing online.
“I left it upstairs in the dressing room – I didn’t think anyone would notice. It’s only a tiny little thing!"
Dec’s co-host and best mate Ant McPartlin, also 40, revealed his own experience with forgetting to wear his ring during an episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
Admitting that viewers thought he and wife Lisa Armstrong were on the rocks, he said: “Everyone was going, ‘Oh my God! What’s going on?’”
If any of Dec’s fans were still unconvinced, he stressed that he and Ali are fine and that there was ‘nothing sinister in’ him forgetting to put his ring back on.
