Dean, 37, recently returned to the BBC One soap after a 12-year break, and his brother Gary has suggested that playing Robbie Jackson again will send him off the rails.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Gary said: “Obviously people go, ‘How’s Wellard?’ and he’ll look down at his manhood and go, ’Yeah, he’s alright!’ When you’re 37 it’s not that funny anymore.”
Actual VOM – we can confirm that a man naming his bits after his dog would never be funny.
But, puppy-related penis ‘jokes’ aside, Gary admitted he’s genuinely concerned for his brother because of his ‘addiction’ to sleeping with women.
He continued: “I think he’ll go off the rails again. If you work for the BBC you have to represent the company. You are not bigger than the show itself.
“He’s a player and a pick-up artist. That won’t go down well with the show because he won’t be able to keep it in his trousers.
“It will all be taken away from him and it will be because of the sex thing. He’s easily slept with more than 1,000 women.”
Dean was quick to hit back at his brother’s claims, tweeting: “In life we’re let down. But you never expect your own flesh and blood to sell lies about you. I have no words! I’ll let Karma deal with you! [sic].”
