David Walliams and Lara Stone welcomed baby son Alfred to the world in May last year, but the model has now spoken out about how she was treated by her employers while she was pregnant.
"I was really upset"
The star was under three months pregnant with Alfred when she was turned away by a client who thought she had already gained too much weight - although they never specifically said her bump was to blame.
Speaking to the Evening Standard, Lara revealed it was only her family who knew that she was pregnant at that time, but she told her bookers anyway as she wanted to be as professional as possible.
However, by the time she had arrived there, they told her they had found someone else for the job.
She explained to The Evening Standard: "I was really upset at the time.
"I hadn't yet had my three-month scan and I felt really vulnerable about everything. I no longer had a job.
"That was it - I had had to just stop everything that I knew; the way my life was."
Revealing that she was "in maternity jeans from 11 weeks", Lara described how tough it was to get back into shape after her son's birth.
"Once the baby was out, I was like, 'What the hell is going on?' My arms don't fit into my sweaters. I couldn't get my jeans over my knees, I couldn't find a bra that fitted me.
"I had body dysmorphia but the wrong way round."
