They’re undoubtedly one of the most famous couples in the world, so you’d be forgiven for assuming they’ll be celebrating this milestone with a swanky do complete with lobster and posh champagne.

But actually David, 40, and 41-year-old Victoria will be making like most of us mere mortals this weekend and flipping a few burgers on the BBQ.

A source told Closer: “They’ll be in LA for their anniversary and because it falls on Independence Day [4 July], they’ll be planning to celebrate with a big barbecue on the beach with their family and friends.

“Victoria would love to stick two fingers up to those who said she and David would never last. Their marriage is getting better and stronger with each year and, the older they get, the closer they become.”

Retired footballer David and fashion designer Victoria married at Luttrellstown Castle, in Ireland, in 1999 and it’s estimated their lavish ceremony cost them £500,000.

They were infamously pictured sitting on golden thrones on their big day, with Victoria wearing a diamond coronet, which is only fitting given they’re the unofficial king and queen of England…

According to the insider, David is loving being a house husband since his retirement in 2013, while Vic’s fashion empire goes from strength to strength.

They added: “David really admires the strong woman his wife has become and she feels their bond is unbreakable.”

David and Victoria are parents to sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, Cruz, 10, and three-year-old daughter Harper Seven.
