David McIntosh posted the provocative photograph, in which he cheerily holds up a teacup with a red love heart emblazoned on it, to Instagram.
He captioned it: "Laaaaa laaa this morning I'm so overwhelmed in happiness I'm singing.
"I was brought breakfast in bed yes it's a coffee and a protein shake but the thought counts.
"Holy smoked chicken livers, I'm a lucky boy!"

But, while many leapt to the conclusion that David was enjoying breakfast in bed with another woman, the ex-Gladiator added shortly afterwards that it was NOT a lady serving him breakfast in bed.
As a matter of fact, the coffee and protein-shake came courtesy of his good pal Dave Urwin.
"Dan Urwin, your duties haven't stopped there - my pyjamas need ironing.
"Chop chop, laddo!"
Kelly Brook seems similarly chirpy following the split, which she announced herself via Twitter just a few weeks ago.
The glamorous model tweeted: "It's a sad Day but I wanted to share with you that David and I are no longer engaged (sic)."
She added: "I love and respect him and wish him all the best."
News of their break-up came just days after sources claimed they were in the midst of finalising their wedding plans for next year.
