The former Gladiator turned 29 this week and he took to Twitter last night to thank Aisleyne for her birthday treat.

He wrote: "Thanks for the theatre fabulousssss x [sic]"

Aisleyne, 35, replied: "The intellectual discussion was just mind-blowing let's go every week x"

Revealing what they'd been to see together, she later tweeted him: "I hope the Hobbit is JUST as wonderful as Les Mis #notjealous"

This week Aisleyne slammed suggestions that David is cheating on his former fiancée Kelly Brook with her.

After the Big Brother star was spotting leaving a party with David, a source told a UK newspaper: "When [Kelly] saw the pictures of David and Aisleyne together she was livid.

"She was at a different awards do that night and didn't know they'd left together. She'd given David chance and after chance.

"Then he goes home with another woman. She wasn't going to take that."

But, sharing a picture of her with David, Aisleyne simply wrote: "Don't believe what u read…"
