Victoria Beckham left fans in shock last week when she was snapped modelling her latest Mango collection.

The former Spice Girl’s appearance sparked rumours that she’d recently undergone procedures – including lip filler and Botox.

Now, Closer can reveal that the pressure to stay looking young has left Victoria, 50, stressed and her husband David, 49, worried about how far she might go.

An insider tells us, “David is concerned that Victoria’s feeling the pressure to keep herself from ageing and ensure she looks a certain way, so he’s been gently trying to dissuade her from going too far and ruining her natural looks.

“He understands that hitting 50 was a big milestone which sparked a lot of fears and insecurities, so he’s been making an extra effort to boost her confidence – constantly telling her how gorgeous she is and how sexy she looks, and insisting that he still finds her just as attractive as he did when they first met.”

Ahead of her 50th birthday last month, it was reported that Posh had upped her fitness and beauty regime to keep herself on top form. However, the fountain of youth doesn’t come cheap – with the singer-turned-fashion designer allegedly spending up to half a million pounds on a handful of pre-birthday tweaks to keep her looking youthful.

Alongside an intense fitness regime consisting of running, spinning and weight training, it’s said the mum-of-four also takes great care when it comes to maintaining her flawless skin – crediting products including Augustinus Bader’s The Rich Cream, which costs around £74 for 15ml, as well as La Mer moisturising soft lotion at £255 for 50ml.

Layering up moisturisers and creams at home, Victoria also allegedly turns to professionals for more serious tweaks. It’s said the star has dabbled with Botox – although she has never confirmed having it – as well as the £750 Morpheus8 treatment, which involves 24 collagen-stimulating needles being placed into the face to encourage firm skin.

Alongside her regular beauty treatments, Victoria is reportedly also a fan of cryotherapy. The treatment, which involves immersing yourself in freezing temperatures of around -85ºC, is said to boast benefits including muscle healing, weight loss and reducing anxiety and depression.

But the source says David is urging the star not to go too far.

“David doesn’t want her to look back in a few years’ time and regret being so obsessed with reversing the ageing process, only to realise that she went too far,” the source continues.

“He knows how sensitive Victoria can be when he mentions it – she’s told him he doesn’t know what it’s like to be a woman whose looks are constantly scrutinised. While he wants to be as supportive and understanding as possible, he’s aware that he’s one of the only people in the world who can be honest with Vic.”

Victoria candidly opened up about the reality of ageing last year, insisting in an interview that she was far more comfortable in her skin now than she was in her twenties. “I like how it feels being older,” she said, later adding, “I wouldn’t want to be 25 again. I was the kind of young woman who would look in the mirror and see what needed to be improved upon, as opposed to what actually looked OK.”

She also shared that she was not planning on making any major changes to her looks, dubbing some cosmetic surgery treatments “scary”. She said, “I went to an event recently and people had very [overfilled] faces. There are some scary options out there.”

But while she now feels the pressure to remain perfect in the next decade of her life, the source says Victoria’s mindful that she needs to strike a balance. We’re told, “Vic insists she won’t go too far and will continue with small tweaks to keep looking youthful, while still embracing the ageing process.

“She told David how lucky she feels to have a husband who she knows adores her no matter what. He makes her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, so she’s going to try to heed his advice. Vic’s vowed that she won’t get carried away.”
