While Brooklyn Beckham tried to sneak out of a restaurant using a fire escape after a secret date with his ex- girlfriend, Chloë Moretz, this week - his mum is struggling with the fact that her son is dating.

Victoria Beckham's eldest is off taking girls out and Posh, like most mums, doesn’t like to think that her son is all grown up.

Promoting his UNICEF documentary on an Austrailian TV show, David Beckham said: "I think it's easier for me than his mum, you know? To see her little boy go out and date.

"Obviously for mums I think it's slightly more difficult with the boys, but once Harper starts, I don't even want to think about that at the moment!"

Brooklyn, 16, was recently rumoured to be dating French actress and model Sonia Ben Ammar, but was spotted enjoying an incognito romantic dinner in London this week with his ex-girlfiend, Chloë Moretz, 18.

However, the teen’s dating life hasn’t been easy – what with VB struggling to come to terms with his dating and David invading his first ever Valentine’s Day date.

During a previous appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, he said: “On his first date, which he was about 14 and a half, Victoria was actually in London. It was Valentine’s Day and he said, ‘I’d love to take this girl to dinner.’ I said, ‘OK, great.’

“I spoke to Victoria and she was like, ‘Really?’ I said, ‘Yeah, he’s going to do it.’ She said, ‘OK. Make sure you take him and make sure you sit in the restaurant.’

“I was like, ‘Really? You’re gonna make me do that?’ She said, ‘Yep. That’s the only way I’m going to let him go.’

“So we took him to a small sushi restaurant and he said at the sushi bar and I sat about five tables back.”

Turns out, the Beckhams are pretty normal parents after all...
