Taylor Swift (you may remember her from such songs as I Knew You Were Trouble, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and 22) has landed a seriously juicy movie role, if new reports are to be believed.

And when we say juicy, we MEAN juicy. David Beckham-style juicy.

Mmhmm, Tay's gone and scored herself a leading role in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming spy comedy The Secret Service - and David Beckham is reportedly in line for a cameo too. Talk about a star-studded lineup.

"Matthew looked at a number of actresses to play the part before settling on Taylor – apparently she was a natural on the big screen."

The film, which has been penned by Jane Goldman (AKA Mrs Jonathan Ross), follows the adventures of spy duo Michael Caine and Colin Firth, who are on the hunt for villain Samuel L Jackson. And it seems as if Sam has only gone and kidnapped himself a Grammy Award winning songstress.

Too bad for him that she's all set to showcase some seriously awesome butt-kicking moves and escape, eh?

A production source said: “Filming commences in October and will shoot mainly in London and south of France."

"She’s also someone fresh and unseen in Hollywood terms which was massively appealing... she will be required to have some heavy-duty martial arts training in order that her character convincingly kick Samuel L Jackson’s butt."

Adele and Elton John are apparently set to join Becks for cameo roles, making this one of the biggest ensemble casts since Love Actually. Filming is due to begin at the end of this year, with the film slated for release in November 2014.
