When questioned about what baby name he would recommend to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the 38-year-old footballer player cheekily told Sky News: ‘David's pretty good. I think they should go for David - if it's a boy!’
Speaking about dad-to-be Prince William, he continued: ‘William has grown from that young boy into an unbelievable gentleman. And that's a great quality for a father.’
David added that he thinks the Royal couple will be ‘amazing parents - because they are so loving towards children.’
Kate Middleton, who is pregnant with the couple’s first baby is due to give birth any day now.
Becks also spoke about the importance of encouraging kids to be healthy.
‘Competitiveness is really important in children's lives, it has to be fair. My boys go to a school which is very competitive, but at the same time encourages children,’ he said.
'It's vital that kids are healthy, fit and eat the right things.'
