The footballer-turned-underwear model, along with three of his friends, will feature in the one off show to be aired during the 2014 Fifa World Cup in the summer.
During filming, David, 38, and his three pals travelled through the rainforest, learning how to survive by camping, cooking and catching food.
Helen Jackson, BBC Worldwide managing director said: “This is an unforgettable documentary set in the heart of the dese Amazon rainforest following David Beckham.
“Through his eyes, audiences will experience life in the jungle, something so distant from David’s life on and off the pitch and in the glare of the world’s media.”
The World Cup this year will take place in Brazil, and the BBC said that the aim of David’s expedition was for him to see the ‘real Brazil.’
Charlotte Moore, BBC One controller said: “In this special documentary for BBC One, David embarks on a top secret expedition to the Amazon that will see him encounter the other side of Brazil.”
Recently David visited the Philippines for Unicef, to see how their work has been helping victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
Speaking of his trip, David said: “I was humbled to visit Tacloban to see how people are still so full of spirit despite the devestation they have suffered.
“Close to 6 million children are affected and many have lost loved ones.”
