The retired footballer turned 40 today and to celebrate he FINALLY joined Instagram.

In only a few hours he had over 700,000 followers and his wife Victoria, 41, and son Brooklyn, 16, were amongst those he followed first.

For his first post, Becks shared a bed selfie – confirming that, yes, he does look just as good first thing in the morning.

David, Victoria, the kids and some of their closest friends have jetted off to Marrakech to celebrate his milestone birthday.

VB posted a snap of them next to the private jet this morning (naturally), showing the loved-up couple with their arms wrapped around each other.

She said: "So excited to be celebrating David's birthday x #DB40 x vb [sic]"

Joining the Beckhams for the celebrations are celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana, DB's bestie Dave Gardner and his girlfriend Liv Tyler.

Vanessa Feltz and her husband Ben Ofoedu were also snapped arriving at Marrakech, suggesting they'll also be in attendance for the bash.
