Strictly'sDanny Mac, who wowed the judges (and us) with his near-perfect Argentine Tango, but his emotions didn't go unnoticed whilst his scores - an amazing 38 - were read out.
Opening up about his tough week on Strictly's It Takes Two with Zoe Ball, Danny revealed that rehearsing for the show was a welcome distraction to a secret family heartache.
Asking how he managed it all with a lot going on, Danny answered:
"I threw a lot of focus into that routine, the most we’ve ever had I think.
"It was the most I felt focused and concentrated on the dance because… as people may have seen I had a bit of a tough week that week, personally, so the dance was my escape from that.
"So I threw everything into it. Oti was amazing all week with me.
"We just got on with the work and the dance for me was really helpful and so I was just so focused and in it, it felt like that’s all I was thinking about because that’s all I could let myself think about."
Danny has yet to comment on his situation - understandably wanting to keep things private - but he did dedicate his Tango to his father and smiled when Zoe Ball said after his interview: "You dedicated the song to your dad, send him lots of love and to your family as well."
At least Danny has Blackpool to look forward to, where he will be dancing the Charleston to Gregory Porter's 'Puttin' On The Ritz'.
We chatted to the Hollyoaks cast, who are fully behind Danny and showed their support in this interview:
