Ooh-er - we thought it was just us that noticed the ridiculous amounts of chemistry between Danny O'Donoghue and his protegé Bo Bruce, but it seems that the whole of the UK noticed it too.

The Script frontman has had to deny rumours of a romance between himself and The Voice finalist as their on-air chemistry has set tongues wagging. Danny and Bo surprised viewers during last weekend's final with their duet Read All About It, as the Irish singer rested his hand on Bo's hip, and at one point it looked as if they were going to kiss.

Danny is reported to be 'on a break' from Lithuanian model Irma Mali, who he had been dating for four years but it is unclear as to whether Bo had any influence in this.

'No one knows if he and Bo are together for sure but the rumours like crazy'

A source said: ‘He’s told people that he and Irma are on a break.

‘No one knows if he and Bo are together for sure but the rumours are circulating like crazy.

‘Everyone wants it to be true because we all love a romance and they seem so happy.’

The pair have spent an increasing amount of time together during the show, even attending red carpet events together, but it was their performance on the final that raised eyebrows.

Rumours circulated when Irma didn't attend the final of The Voice to support her boyfriend of four years. But sources say that it was her who made the decision to end the relationship.

The insider said: ‘The truth is that Irma has decided to end the relationship with Danny as they are both going in different directions.

‘This split has been evident for quite a while now and has nothing to do with any third parties.

‘Danny is a sweet guy and Irma has nothing but good things to say about him and their time together.’

Danny’s spokesman said ‘Danny and Bo are definitely just friends.’
