The second half of Katie Hopkins’s new programme, If Katie Hopkins Ruled The World, aired on TLC last night.
Which, somewhat unsurprisingly, left more than a few people with a bad taste in their mouths.
From discussing ‘fat tax’ to whether or not women should be allowed to propose to their partners, Katie has since been accused of bullying and sexism by viewers.
However it was Katie’s rival Danny Dyer who hilariously put down the new TLC series with one simple - and epic - tweet.
The real-life Mick Carter wrote scathingly: “[This is] Me... waiting... for something... anything... to happen… to justify @KTHopkins having it's own show…”
The post was accompanied by a shot of…
Well, you’ll see.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, his tweet proved to be VERY popular amongst fans, getting retweeted 808 times and receiving a cool 2,106 favourites.
One delighted Twitter user wrote: “DANNY I LOVE YOU FOR THIS!”
Another added: “Best tweet ever!”
“So funny I nearly had a little wee,” confided another Danny Dyer fan. “Go Danny!”
Not content to stop there, Danny later tweeted: “If I could sum up @KTHopkins show in an image…”
The image in question was a photograph of a person with their head LITRALLY up their own bum.
Danny added: “Good night!”
It’s not the first time that Danny has got one up on Katie on Twitter.
The former Apprentice contestant shared an image of a magazine cover, which showed Danny and his long-term girlfriend Joanne Mas shortly after she’d proposed to him.
Katie wrote: “No woman should ever propose to a man. Certainly not one with a naff bum-fluff beard and dodgy squint.”
Danny was quick to respond, writing: “No I agree...especially when you look like ya face should be on the side of a gothic building..have a nice day ya daft sexist ya.”
But it didn’t end there.
Katie continued spitefully: “I don't believe any woman really WANTS to propose to a man. Women would far rather be proposed TO than propose AT. @MrDDyer etc.”
She added: “Dyers girlfriend went the full Lorena Bobbitt; being proposed to removes a man's genitals. Too emasculated to say no were we @MrDDyer?”
But Danny, despite having very good cause to lose his temper, simply wrote: “I've picked a hat for you for the wedding @KTHopkins have a wonderful spiteful week my love.”
Game, set, and match.
It seems as if Katie Hopkins could finally have met her match in EastEnders legend Danny Dyer!
