We originally imagined that Danny Dyer’s upcoming wedding would be a pure and utter East End affair – all pearly queens, pie and mash and everyone having a jolly ol' knees up down the local boozer.

Would you expect anything less from the born and bred East London boy?

However, it seems EastEnders's loveliest landlord - who got engaged to his long-term girlfriend (24 years, what a stretch) Joanne Mas on Valentine’s Day last year – has revealed that his wedding is going to have more of a Spanish theme, as Jo is half-Spanish.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, the actor revealed that he’s been thinking long and hard about his whistle (his suit).

"I want to go for a Sean Connery vibe. I love the 1960s and would love a '60s-style suit with a crisp white shirt and skinny black tie."

As for what he wants his bride to look like, he said: "I have an image in my head of how I would like Jo to look.

"She would be in a dress with a big skirt, bare shoulders, no veil, with her hair down and quite wild, maybe with a tiara on top.

“She always looks beautiful, so whatever she wears, I know I won’t be disappointed.

"You'd think that I would be prepared for my own wedding day, but I am very nervous about it."

Awwwwww!

Despite Jo planning the majority of the wedding that is taking place in September, Danny does want to have his say about the grub.

"I have suggested having a stylish version of pie and mash with liquor and chilli vinegar on a spoon," he explained.

Very swanky!

Danny Dyer discovers he is related to royalty, who could it be?

Danny and Jo, who have three beautiful children together and have been together since they were 14, admit that this wedding is a long time coming.

Speaking to the Radio Times, Danny said: “Getting married is just about celebrating our love and cementing it with a bit of paper... to be honest.

"She's my girl and we want to get all legal.”

Only two months to go now! We can't wait to see the wedding snaps, Danny.
